RTA Expands Dubai’s Bus-On-Demand Service to New Areas for Greater Convenience

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the expansion of its highly successful Bus-On-Demand service to include two new areas—Oud Metha and Barsha Heights. This expansion responds to the growing demand for more flexible and efficient travel options, aimed at reducing congestion and improving daily commutes across the city.

The service, which operates with 13-seater buses, provides an affordable and convenient solution for short-distance travel, connecting residents directly to public transport stations. With each trip priced at just AED 5, it offers a budget-friendly alternative to traditional public transport.

Accessible through the Dubai-Bus On-Demand smart app, passengers can easily book rides, track bus routes, and make payments from their smartphones. The app also allows drivers to communicate directly with passengers to guide them to the nearest pickup point, ensuring a seamless experience.

This recent expansion brings the service to a total of ten key locations across Dubai, adding to previous offerings in Al Barsha, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Al Nahda, Business Bay, and Downtown Dubai.

As demand continues to rise, RTA is committed to providing a more efficient and user-friendly public transport network to meet the evolving needs of Dubai’s residents.
