Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank ADCB reported a robust increase in quarterly profit, driven by a sharp rise in non-interest income, underscoring the lender’s diversified revenue strategy amid a shifting interest rate environment.
The bank posted a net profit of AED 2.15 billion ($586 million) for the second quarter, marking a solid year-on-year increase. A key contributor was a 36% surge in non-interest income, which includes fees, commissions, trading income, and other revenue streams not tied to traditional lending.
In a statement, ADCB said the growth reflects strong performance across its core banking, treasury, and investment businesses, alongside improved client activity and market conditions. 
“ADCB continues to deliver strong results through a balanced business model that leverages both interest and non-interest income sources,” said Group CEO Ala’a Eraiqat. “Our strategic focus on innovation, customer engagement, and risk discipline has positioned the bank for continued resilience and growth.”
The results come as regional banks look to sustain earnings momentum despite the prospect of stabilizing interest rates. ADCB’s strong fee-based income provides a buffer against margin pressures and reflects the bank’s growing capabilities in wealth management, digital banking, and corporate advisory services.
Total assets also grew during the quarter, while the bank maintained healthy liquidity and capital adequacy ratios. ADCB signaled continued investment in digital transformation and regional expansion as part of its long-term strategy.
