A high-level working meeting in the Bulgarian capital brought together leading voices from media, consulting, academia and elite sport to discuss international cooperation, talent development and the global positioning of Bulgaria.
A Capital Meeting With Strategic Weight
During a working visit to Sofia, a notable encounter took place with Bulgarian heavyweight boxer Kubrat Pulev, one of the most recognized professional athletes the country has produced. His long-standing career stands as a compelling case study in determination, discipline and sustained performance at the very highest international level.

The meeting was attended by Anna Stukkert, international media entrepreneur, investment strategist and founder of the International Investment Congress Awards; Galina Raicheva, founder of Drustar Consulting; and Professor Hristina Hristova, Doctor of Political Science and Dean of the Faculty of Library Science and Cultural Heritage at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies.
A Career Built on Endurance and Excellence
Discussions centered on Pulev’s professional journey and his contribution to raising Bulgaria’s global profile. Following his professional debut in 2009, he advanced rapidly through the ranks and captured the European heavyweight title in 2012. In 2014, he challenged Wladimir Klitschko for the world championship, and in 2020 he faced Anthony Joshua — encounters that underline his resilience and consistent elite-level performance over more than a decade.
Beyond the ring, Kubrat Pulev also holds a PhD from the G. S. Rakovski Military Academy, an academic distinction that reflects the depth of character and intellectual discipline he brings to his public life.
Toward a German–Bulgarian Sports Initiative
Particular attention was devoted to the launch of a joint German–Bulgarian association designed to support and promote talented athletes on the international scene. In this framework, Pulev was singled out as a striking example of discipline, character and the consistent pursuit of long-term goals.
Sport, Image and International Positioning
The participants also explored the role of sport as a strategic instrument for international positioning and for strengthening the national brand. The conversation highlighted opportunities for cooperation within upcoming flagship events, including the Cannes Film Festival 2026 and the International Investment Congress Awards.
The integration of sport, business and cultural initiatives was emphasized as a cornerstone for building sustainable international partnerships and presenting Bulgaria as an attractive destination for investment and meaningful collaboration.
