The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has issued a stark warning about the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, describing the population as “walking corpses” due to extreme shortages of food, water, and medical supplies. The agency highlighted the urgent need for humanitarian assistance amid ongoing conflict and blockade conditions.
UNRWA announced that it has mobilized 6,000 aid trucks ready to enter Gaza to deliver critical relief supplies, including food, medicine, and fuel. However, access remains a significant challenge due to security concerns and border restrictions.
The agency called on all parties to facilitate immediate and sustained humanitarian access to prevent further loss of life and alleviate the suffering of civilians trapped in the region. The situation remains critical, with millions dependent on aid to survive.
